Eagan Parks & Recreation and Dakota County Library bring a story trail to Thomas Lake Park on October 9 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Families can follow the featured book, How to Bird, as they walk through the park. Musical Barb will lead music and movement, and a bonfire provides a place to make s’mores. Other activities include bird watching with binoculars and making a bird-seed treat to take home. Strollers and wagons are welcome, and sensory bags will be available to use during the event. The outdoor gathering will be canceled if it rains. The trail combines reading, movement and bird-themed activities in the park’s fall setting.
