Haiti Empowered hosts Hope Night at Eagan Community Center on October 8 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Check-in and the welcome hour run from 5 to 6 p.m., with coffee, water, a cash bar, silent-auction browsing and displays about the organization’s work in Haiti. Dinner and the main program begin at 6 p.m.; gluten-free meal options are available. Guest speaker Junior Obrand, Vice President of International Programs at Feed My Starving Children and author of No Grave for Grace, shares his story. The evening also includes a live auction, a Golden Raffle and a paddle raise supporting Haiti Empowered’s work in education, meals, and medical and dental care. Tickets are $70 and seating is limited.
