Artist Charles Matson Lume discusses the light-based installation Disjecta Membra (For Charles Wright) at Inver Hills Community College. Students, employees and community members are invited to the Black Box Theater following Creative Crash in the Fine Arts lobby. The talk provides a chance to learn about the artist’s ideas, materials and creative process and to ask questions. Although the event is scheduled through 2 p.m., the presentation and discussion are expected to last roughly 30–45 minutes. The related Gallery 120 exhibition is on view September 28 through October 23 in the Fine Arts building lobby. It explores the interaction of light with everyday materials and draws on Lume’s interest in poetry.
