Middle- and high-school students can turn their own drawings into small plastic charms at Savage Library. Participants use specialty shrink plastic, often known as Shrinky Dinks, to design keychains, pins or zipper pulls. They draw and color a design, make the necessary holes, then observe heat shrink it into a thicker, durable charm. The TeenTober project takes place Monday, October 19, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Savage Large Meeting Room at 13090 Alabama Avenue. It is part of the library’s October Monday teen activities.
