Learn how to explore local and family history at Scott County Historical Society's Kids Day Off program on October 15. From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., students will discover resources in the SCHS research library, practice finding a record and locating a parcel of land, and learn what different kinds of records can reveal about the past. The class is limited to 10 students, and registration is required by October 5. It is free for children of society members and $5 for nonmembers, so public registration is available.
