It started with a simple Lakeville idea

Why drive to Minneapolis or St. Paul for great coffee when we could have it here?

That’s the idea behind Tapestry, according to the owners’ story. Brady Heerema and Scott and Kiley Van Daalen opened the shop in 2021.

They wanted good coffee and a place where people felt welcome. Today, they have two Lakeville cafés and roast their own beans.

We covered Tapestry’s second location at 160th and Cedar when it opened. Now there’s a national award in the mix, too.

That’s a fun next chapter for a local business. And a good reason to give the team some props.

Two places to stop for a cup

If you haven’t been yet, you’ve got two options:

  • Downtown Lakeville: 20788 Holyoke Ave.
  • Lakeville Crossings: 7656 160th St. W., near Cedar Avenue.

Both shops list daily hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tapestry’s website.
